Merchandise: The Beatlemania Shoppe. Beatles For Sale, and lots more, including rare and unique collectables, a fast-expanding list of links, and a free area for trading and selling, very cool.

Sites with lots of links: The Cyber-Beatles site offers a categorized list of sites, updated often. In addition, the Links, Links, Links page offers an extensive list of Beatles fan sites, though many of them have faded away.

Sites for beginner Beatlemaniacs: For a comprehensive introduction, check out The Internet Beatles Album. This site offers something for every Fab fanatic as well as the casually interested. There are lots of sound clips that are short excerpts from very rare outtakes that are available only on bootlegs. You'll find an exclusive interview with Yoko Ono, John's widow, conducted in 1995 and available also in RealAudio. You can also find a complete discography of Beatles LPs and CDs, a song title cross reference, and a photo gallery. You can even find the address of your favorite Beatle, as well as your favorite Beatle fan magazine.

Here's an interesting Beatles site that offers pictures, sounds, facts, lyrics, chatting with others, and more links to other sites. More sites to check out:

I Am The Beatles -- History, albums, songs, lyrics, and answers to fan questions.

I Should Have Known Better -- Beatles trivia questions with answers.

BeatleBeat.com - Biographies, message board, calendar of the Beatles on TV, mailing list, news, games, lyrics, photographs, and other related information.

Beatlefans.com - Multifaceted Beatles site featuring fan clubs, art gallery, greeting cards, fan fiction and songs, news, guitar tablatures, polls, albums, lyrics, movies, and solo careers.

ForFabFour -- Beatles fans share their personal stories, poems, and memories of the Fab Four. Edited by Linda Shultz.

PlasticSoul.com -- News, song and video clips, lyrics, photos (including studio shots), screen-savers, wallpapers, games, essays, and trivia.

Beatles Re-Generation -- Invitation to enter the 1960's and the Beatle era. Pictures, biographies, and the highs and lows of being a modern fan. Fab Four Fiction and related subjects.

Sgt. Pepper's Army -- Beatles news, history, essays, resources, and links.

Butcher coverWhile you're at it, check out the Beatles' home town, Liverpool. On my last visit I had an excellent time at the original Cavern Club (where the Beatles first played), watching a new band play on a Friday night. It's right next to a major Beatles memorabilia mall. Even the local Burger King in Liverpool plays nothing but Beatles music all day long.

For music manaics: If you like MIDI versions of Beatles songs (and who doesn't?), check out the Beatles MIDI Music Page. (Note: if you don't like MIDI, or you are browsing in a quiet area, turn off your sound before going to this page, because a tune starts up automatically.) Here are more sites:

The Beatles Box -- Lyrics, MIDIs, chords, pictures, discographies, fan clubs, and informational links.

The Beatles Covers List -- Large searchable database of other artists' recordings of Beatles songs; with artist name, album, release date, and reviews.

For memoriabilia collectors:
The Beatles Collectors' Reference Center -- Specializes in information on Beatles counterfeit items, unauthorized merchandise, and other facts for collectors.

The Beatles Museum -- Displays scans of original memorabilia and pictures of Beatles places. View or download images from their galleries. Information for collectors and fans.

For history buffs:

The Beatles Live And Session -- Extensive web site with details of live performances, recording sessions, acetates, promos, TV and radio sessions, official recordings, and bootlegs.

A Beatles Recording Timeline -- A chronology of The Beatles' recording history, including both bootleg and legitimate album tracks, with session notes.

Beatle Money -- A financial history of the Beatles and related organizations. Includes economic environment, spending and income, legal and contractual matters.

The Beatles Archives -- Detailed analysis of every unreleased group or solo recording from 1957 to 2001.

The Beatles Are Masters of the Universe -- Song-by-song analysis of the Beatles greatest recorded compositions.

The Beatles Behind The Scenes -- Detailed presentation of conversations and session activities, take-by-take, for selected recording sessions 1963-1969, by Andy Roman.

The Beatles Domain -- Rare photos, misheard lyrics, unusual Beatles facts, magazine articles from the mid 1960s, and humorous letters and tributes.

Beatles Guide UK -- Discography, history of the Cavern Club, songs by Lennon and McCartney recorded by others, photo gallery, and a virtual tour of the Beatles' hometown.

Entomology: A Study Of Beatles Sounds -- Comprehensive treatment of their recorded work, both released and unreleased. Includes a database of information on over 2100 discs and bootlegs.

rec.music.beatles Home Page -- Facts, trivia, and links to articles covering Beatles history, discussion, and analysis.

Bootlegs and outtakes:
The Black Album: Banana Press Beatles Page -- Bootleg information and news, including the Twickenham Sessions, the John Barrett tapes, new releases, plus interviews, essays, and some audio clips.

Hard to find Beatle tracks -- Bootlegs, out-takes, and downloadable MP3 songs.

All You Need is Cash: One of the coolest Beatles parodies is the Rutles, based on the documentary "All You Need is Cash" that appeared on British TV. The Rutles site is even updated with information about a "Rutles Archaeology" that includes a Rutles history, a press release, Rutles discography, etc.

Anthology series: We review the highlights of the Anthology CD set. But don't forget the official web site devoted to the Capitol Records Anthology release. It is lame, considering all the information available about these tracks. There once was a site dedicated to the video documentary that aired on ABC Television in the U.S., but that website has vanished. The video was an abridged version of the now available 10-hour documentary (8 VHS tapes), which is by far the most exhaustive video documentary of any band.

The Beatles reunited, or three of them, and created two songs: "Free as a Bird" (FAAB) and "Real Love". FAAB (which we think is great!) has been commented on extensively. This page is dedicated to the song itself. You can check out the many song references in the video clips and stills. There are loads of Beatle song references, as you would expect. And here's more:

The Beatles Reunion Recording Sessions -- Details recording and mixing sessions for the 1990s Anthology reunion project.

What's Yoko doing?

Find out what Yoko Ono, John's widow, is doing these days. The avant garde artist and musician is still way out there on the edge, still inventing new forms of art and music.

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
