Fixing a Problem with the Windows Version

Note that some versions of decompression utilities do not decompress ZIP files with the proper subdirectory and contents as they were compressed. If you get all the files in one subdirectory, rather than arranged as we compressed it, the Space.exe program might not work. Here's how to fix it.

When you open Haspace, the subdirectory's contents should look like this (order of files does not matter):

Spacers (a subdirectory inside Haspace)
Lingo.ini
Readmess.txt
Shortcut
Space.exe

If you instead see the following, you can make it look like the above by copying all extra files into the Spacers subdirectory where they belong:

Spacers (a subdirectory inside Haspace)
Lingo.ini
Readmess.txt
Shortcut
Space.exe
(all files below this should be inside Spacers, not loose in Haspace:)
Habillg.dxr
Hachet.dxr
Hagrace.dxr
Hajanis.dxr
Haneal.dxr
Menu.dxr
Shared.dxr

Copying those files to the Spacers subdirectory should make everything work fine. But if it doesn't work for some other reason, the culprit is usually your display setting. Try it at 640 x 480 pixels with 256 colors. Also, turn off any other applications (especially any other screen saver). Then try it again.

Still no luck? Oh what the heck, it is free software. Sorry!
